Frequently asked questions.

How do I know if counselling is for me?

Sometimes it’s tricky to know at first. I suggest 1-2 sessions together to see if we are the right fit, and if therapy suits you at this time in your life. We can use these sessions to explore what tools might serve you best, and how you want to use the time. Your autonomy is the most important thing here.

How long does a session go for? How many sessions will I need?

Sessions go for 60 minutes. Some people find six sessions is enough to support them with a specific challenge. Others find they need 10 or more to unpack and explore. Others see it as an ongoing part of maintaining their wellbeing.

Are you available to see people of all ages?

Yes, 15 years and above. I am keen to support people across the lifespan.

You specialise in relationships. Do you offer couples therapy?

At this stage, I only work with individuals, with a focus on relational patterns and challenges. I am open to a significant other in your life joining our sessions on a case by case basis, to witness your experience. However, the therapy will remain focused on you.

What type of therapy do you do?

I am an interpersonal counsellor, which means our relationship is the foundation for therapy. You can expect trust, care and authenticity. I am strengths-based, which means I see you as the expert of your experience, and aim to bring your strengths into awareness. I have specialist skills in identifying attachment patterns and their intersection with trauma, grief and loss. I tailor other tools to suit you - supporting emotional regulation with Emotion-focused therapy, developing practical stress management tools, exploring parts of self and role play with Drama therapy, and so on. We can figure this out together as we go!

What are your fees?
